There is a better choice...
“Moderate” and “Mainstream” Republican and Democratic politicians have led this country to the brink of despair with their reckless spending, debt, bailouts for those “too big to fail,” Cash for Clunkers and endless wars.
They are the ones who have been exercising power, making all the wrong moves, abusing our system until it is only a remnant of its former self, confused and staggering about like a wounded animal. Anyone can see that a dismal economic future and lower standard of living is on the horizon.
No one is looking out for The Common Man. Enough is enough! It’s time for a third party to challenge “politics as usual.” It is time for renewal. They will call my ideas radical but, unlike theirs, my concepts are those espoused by the Founding Fathers. They are time-tested. They work.
I’m Mel Valkner, CPA and I’m running for Congress as a member of the U.S. Taxpayers Party of Michigan (USTPM.org was formed in 1982), Michigan’s affiliate of the national Constitution Party. Time to split your ticket as 67% of voters are now willing to vote for the right third-party candidate.
But I will not merely “split the vote” and take victory from Rep. Upton and give it to Professor Cooney. I will win this race. Research shows that USTPM draws fairly equally from both parties due to our constitutional positions on strong military yet anti-war, pro-business yet protect American workers and the proper role of individual rights, states rights and federal government, etc. TheCommonMan.org details these positions and many others.
The Founding Fathers designed the Constitution for a moral, self-governing people. It is not suited for Communism, Marxism, Socialism or any other type of central planning. It rewards personal responsibility and initiative. You know how to run your life better than the federal government does.
This nation is truly at the crossroads of its life. I’m ready to go to Washington with a primary emphasis on returning power to the States and the People. I need your help and cannot do it without you. Your support for me will make all the difference.
Upholding the Constitution...
By way of background, I am a life-long resident of the Kalamazoo, Michigan area. After serving in the U.S. Army with tours in Vietnam and Germany, I attended Western Michigan University (WMU) graduating with the double majors of Political Science and Philosophy. Married Luanne (still married after 35 years - how she puts up with me I do not know!) and have two grown children.Returning to WMU for a couple more years of business and accounting classes I eventually became a CPA and tax professional. Leaving public accounting I became a healthcare administrator, financial executive in manufacturing and service industries, business consultant and entrepreneur.
Like a growing number of citizens, I am very concerned with the recent events unfolding in Washington. I see both Democrats and Republicans (I have voted for both over the years) ignoring the Constitution, thus causing many of the nation’s ills. Admiral Mike Mullen claims the National Debt is a national security issue. It went from $3.5 trillion to $13.5 trillion during Rep. Upton's 24 years in Congress.
This is not about promoting a left-wing or right-wing agenda. This is about upholding the Constitution and restoring it to the original intent of our Founding Father’s design of a federal government operating with specific and enumerated powers.
Platitudes are insufficient to get this nation and our leaders to again following the original intent of the Constitution. My TCM Power Principles™ show what it takes to return power to the States and the People - legally and permanently.
It's Really Up to You...
Now is the time for boldness, to stand up for what you believe in. Don't Back Down®! I need your support now to win this election. But it is also important that you understand what needs to be done:
1) In the left hand column, download free copies of the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence and refresh your knowledge of them. They withstood the test of time until subsequent generations amended them leading to a congregation of power in Washington, D.C.
2) Also in the left hand column, print and handout "Flyer" materials. This would be of great help to me and of great interest to your friends. Be sure to help yourself to my free eBook (pdf) – Don't Back Down, a result of a journal that I kept for many years.
3) Please take the time to read and understand TCM Power Principles™ by clicking on “Power” on the main menu above and then going to the bottom of the page. These ten principles outline steps that are needed to turn things around based on concepts espoused by the Founding Fathers.4) Clicking on “Platforms” gives you ten pages of brief comparisons of party platforms for the Constitution Party, Democratic Party, Libertarian Party and Republican Party in their own words. Or, you can opt to read the whole party platform for each party. You may be surprised to learn only one party has plans to balance the federal budget, pay off the national debt and return the nation to the gold standard (that protects your assets).
5) Click on “Budget” on the main menu and at the bottom of that screen you will find ten pages showing how, using my accounting/CPA talents, I balanced the federal budget and paid off the National Debt by 2033 while eliminating the federal income tax!
6) The Ten Fables of Madern Tyms (“Fables” on the main menu) are a sinister set of fables that may show the path we are heading down.
